Carlos Paez, 18 years old, is the protagonist of the most shocking aeronautical tragedy in history. Where in desperation, they resort to cannibalism to survive the ordeal. October 1972: The rugby club Old Christian from Uruguay, rents a flight to Chile to play a friendly match, the plane crashes in the Andes Mountains at an altitude of 3600 metres and temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius. Of the 45 people on board, 16 manage to survive 72 days, sheltered in the remains of the fuselage. Now Carlos, at 64 years old, returns to the site of the accident with his children and grandchildren.
Juan Antonio Bayona, director of ‘The Impossible’ and ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ is filming a movie for Netflix based on this story. It will be called ‘The Snow Society’. Expected release in 2023.
