What if the United States were living its last year of democracy? The question is actually less crazy than it may sound. Donald Trump is getting ready to take back the White House with an even radical agenda than his first term’s. He plans to dismantle the federal government and keep much more than a tight reign on the judiciary, the press and the army, as in the authoritarian regimes he has always admired.
We went to meet his most fervent supporters in Florida. This state serves as a laboratory for American-style authoritarianism, and it gives us a foretaste of a possible Trump 2.0 term.
